Dear Steve,
Thanks for the SLS resources. Now, I'm trying to figure out where to begin building my link networks. I'm a professor teaching online and traditional courses. To recover from recent financial and medical emergencies, I'm attempting to set up and promote my own money sites. Of course, I'm willing to listen, learn, and work, but I have to be realistic because of limited time. And technology overwhelms me until I get into a routine.
I've already reviewed the Appendices I-IV in the newest Simple Leveraging download to see the diagrams and resource lists. Your PDF files, HTML pages, and PowerPoint files help because I'm a visual learner who can look and read faster than listening to a video.
Although one-way arrows would clarify these diagrams, I think I understand the mega network you suggest setting up to send link juice to my money sites. I gather you're saying point links only one way (outward) towards the money site(s) with no cross linking among the Web 2.0 sites. The RSS sites can be used to send link juice to both the money sites directily or indirectly through the blog network and Web 2.0 sites.
Here are some specific questions:
1. I located the PowerPoint for cluster linking under the Support and Videos section of the forum. How does it fit into the diagrams included in Appendices I-IV in the Simple Leveraging System download? Are these Blog Network sites or Blog Money Sites?
2. Within the blog networks (Web 2.0 or RSS sites) covered in the Simple Leveraging download, what exactly do I do next of value to send a one-way link? Just register, complete a profile or free blog, and include Web 2.0 site links in my profile/blog?
3. Within the Web 2.0 resources like Hub pages and Squidoo, do I set up a site with a useful article or articles related to my money site and point it to the money site's home page or related internal page? Or can I comment on somebody else's Web 2.0 site and include a link to my site? Setting up all the Web 2.0 sites is time-consuming, so I'm wondering if I'm overlooking any white hat shortcuts. Should we use relevant keyword text for all links? Should we vary those keywords?
4. Is my next step watching the videos? If so, in what order?
5. The forum and an early email mention the link autosubmitter (HURRAH!). Is that autosubmitter back up with passwords to prevent/track spammers? I see a video sent in June, but I don't have any more recent email from Stephen Morgan to access the link autosubmitter script. Is it available elsewhere?
I appreciate your help.
All the best,
Mary
